Frequently asked questions.

How much does therapy cost?

Sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes and a 50 minute session is billed at $225. The initial appointment, the intake session, is $250.

Do you offer online or in person therapy?

I offer both types of sessions. In person therapy is available at my office in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. I can provide online therapy via a HIPAA compliant platform for clients in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

cAN i USE MY INSURANCE?

I am out of network with all insurance companies. I will provide you a superbill which you can submit for reimbursement if you have out of network benefits. I have partnered with Mentaya to provide clients a third party option who can assist them in out of network reimbursement.

Do you work with children?

I do work with children, but the way I work with children may be different than some therapists. I have found the primary way to help children is to support their caregivers, most change comes from actions taken at home. Parents can expect to be involved in their child’s treatment (in age appropriate ways) and attend sessions both with and without their child present.

Do you provide couples therapy?

I provide couples therapy in the context of parenting. I work with new parents to prepare for the arrival of their children, and I work with couples who are current parents to navigate parenting challenges. I do not provide sex therapy or therapy around affairs. I do work with individuals who are struggling in their marriage.

My spouse won’t go to therapy with me, what do i do?

A lot can be accomplished in individual therapy that impacts the relationship. If your spouse will not go to couple’s therapy, seeing an individual therapist can help you navigate conflicts in your relationship and develop the skills you need to feel confident in your relationship.
